Project Description
Client: Cheese Manufacturing Company
Project: Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades, Wyoming
A cheese manufacturing company operating a 90,000 gallons per day sequencing batch reactor wastewater treatment facility to treat the effluent from its factory had a long history of water quality compliance problems. At the time, the facility was unable to consistently meet effluent limits. Before calling TST Infrastructure, the owners of the company were convinced they would need a costly expansion of their facility to meet regulations. The TST Infrastructure team conducted a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of the treatment facility and concluded that an expensive expansion was, in fact, not necessary. Instead, process modifications and minor system modifications were recommended to improve the treatment efficiency of the existing system. Working as a team with the company’s personnel, strategically targeted changes were implemented, and the treatment facility was brought into compliance without a costly major expansion.
