Project Description
Client: Northwest Douglas County Subdistrict
Project: Northwest Douglas County Water Project, Littleton, CO
Hundreds of homes and businesses in northwest Douglas County were dependent on a maze of individual groundwater wells for their drinking water. Many of the wells were becoming increasingly unreliable, with some of them going completely dry—a fact that was having a negative impact on local property values. The region urgently needed to be connected to a public water system. Working in coordination with several public water systems to develop the required water supply and infrastructure, TST Infrastructure’s team was able to help the client provide a permanent water supply to the area. Partners in the Northwest Douglas County Water Project included Douglas County, Aurora Water, Centennial Water and Sanitation District, Roxborough Water and Sanitation District, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as well as the communities of Plum Valley Heights, Chatfield Estates/Acres, Chatfield East, and the Titan Road Industrial Park. As a result of the project, the residents and businesses in the Northwest Douglas County Subdistrict now have reliable, safe drinking water, and property values are no longer negatively impacted by lack of an adequate water supply.
